Night Teaching Counselor
General Summary:
The Night Teaching Counselor is primarily responsible for supervision of persons served during the overnight hours, ensuring the safety, security, comfort and human rights of persons served. Assists persons served to increase their independence by teaching skills in various activities of daily living; maintain compliance with various health and sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning all surfaces, fixtures, appliances furniture, etc. In the home; laundering clothing and washable materials and preparing food according to stated health guidelines and menus.
Qualifications:
-
Minimum high school diploma and a combination of college-level education and/or related experience with persons who have severe disabilities or other special needs.

Operation of a motor vehicle is required, which includes;
-
proof of a valid drivers license,
-
an ability to maintain automobile liability insurance as required by state law in Kansas and/or Missouri, and
-
an ability to qualify as a driver under CLO insurance guidelines.

Knowledge of and the ability to perform Mandt techniques.

Knowledge of Teaching Family Model components and techniques.

Ability to organize and handle several tasks simultaneously.
