CLO Communiversity

The CLO Communiversity provides a high quality day habilitation option to individuals who have developmental disabilities and live within the Johnson and Douglas County communities. The CLO Communiversity provides community inclusive recreational/leisure, employment, and therapy services that optimize engagement opportunities through both planned and incidental teaching.
Every activity offered through the CLO Communiversity is designed to provide training in one of five focus areas: Community Access; Food/Cooking; Home/Health; Recreation; and Leisure. Participants are encouraged to enroll in each focus area at least twice throughout their week.
2007
*October 30-31 -- Halloween
*Nov. 22 -- Thanksgiving
*Dec. 25 -- Christmas
Inclement Weather Guideline:
Throughout the winter months, schedules and events are affected by extreme road conditions such as snow and ice. These extreme conditions may pose a threat to the health and safety of our individuals. In order to serve our customers during inclement weather, the Day Services centers will remain open and the parents and Extended Family Teachers may decide what is best for their travel and if the individual will attend. During these times, it is unsafe for our individuals to participate in the community while in our program so they will participate in the activities held indoors.
