HCBS/MRDD Waiver Workgroup

The HCBS/MRDD waiver was due to be resubmitted to CMS at the beginning of this year.   SRS resubmitted the existing waiver with a few minor wording changes.   However, based upon feedback SRS received during public forums, SRS has decided to put together a waiver workgroup.   The goal of the group is to develop and submit proposed amendments to the waiver to CMS.   The group is comprised of persons who expressed an interest during the public forums.   The entire group met by conference call during the first part of June.   The group divided into three subgroups to work on Residential Habilitation, Day Habilitation, and In-Home Supports.   Each subgroup is scheduled to meet two times during the next three months.  The group hopes to complete its work by the first part of September.
