Upcoming Legislative Elections

All of the House and Senate seats are open for re-election this year.   Many CLO board, staff and family members are already beginning to participate in their local campaigns. Mike Hutfles, Governmental Consultant, and I are visiting with CLO’s administrative team on Monday, June 28, and the CLO Board of Directors on Tuesday, July 6, to review local legislative races, and others of interest within the state. We plan to put out this information in the form of an employee newsletter to all employees at CLO.   Annas Lefort, DCL is also attending training on Tuesday, June 29, hosted by Kansas Advocacy and Protective Services, on how to develop local voter caucuses.  Annas, with support from myself and Kirk Divine, will be taking the lead to develop a local caucus of persons interested in voting for candidates who support developmental disability issues.
