CLO’s Governmental Relations Department Goals for July – Dec. 2004

  1. Participate in Key Local Campaigns.
  2. Educate Elected Officials, State & County, on issues important to CLO.
  3. Work on House Bill 2488 for the next legislative session.
  4. Team with local CDDOs and providers to develop a funding plan for increasing direct care wage reimbursement to share with legislators and SRS.
  5. Collaborate with CDDOs in SEKS who are developing   a joint CDDO Council to mitigate conflict of interest.
  6. Assist local CDDO Councils of Community Members to select capacity building goals for the coming contract year.
  7. Participate in the SRS taskforces on changes to the HCBS/MRDD waiver and on the selection of an assessment to determine eligibility for specialized funding.
  8. Work with urban CDDOs on a regional rate plan.
