What is NARHA?

NARHA has provided Equine Assisted Activity and Therapy (EAAT) programs in the United States and Canada through its network of nearly 800 member centers since 1969. Midnight Farm is in compliance with NARHA regulations and will become eligible for the Premiere Accredited Center Program in August of 2009.

Midnight Farm offers a variety of classes to meet the needs of riders, ages 3 and up, with a wide range of cognitive and physical abilities. After an initial evaluation by a NARHA-certified instructor, riders are placed in classes with other riders of similar ability in order to best meet their individual needs. Classes are currently being offered Monday through Saturday, with both daytime and evening classes available. To schedule an evaluation or obtain more detail about currently available class times, please contact Midnight Farm at 785-979-1889, or email our Equestrian Program Coordinator.

Equestrian Program for Challenged Riders:

The equestrian program is the centerpiece of all farm activities. It provides a variety of different classes and horse experiences tailored for adults and children with disabilities.

Our horses are highly trained and are selected with great care to match standards developed to ensure that horses have the skills, experience and characteristics that fit the needs of the project.

We are now taking applications for persons interested in participating in our Therapeutic Horseback Riding Program. Please click on the 'download rider application' button on the right, fill out the form and return it to CLO's Midnight Farm Equestrian Program Director.
